Passionate about dance since the age of 4, Tamara Bermudez began her classical ballet training under Jean-Paul Balmer, a former dancer with Béjart, and Geneviève Chaussat, principal dancer at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. She studied with them for eleven years, developing a strong technical foundation and great artistic discipline.

At the same time, she turned to contemporary dance, eager to expand her movement vocabulary, explore new horizons, and nurture her creativity.

In 2016, Tamara enrolled at the Geneva School of Art, where she graduated with distinction as a professional dancer. She then continued her career with the prestigious Ballet Junior de Genève, performing in several contemporary creations, including:

• "Identity" by Edouard Hue

• "Shut Down" by Noa Zuk

• "Territoire nouveau" by Perrine Valli

​

She then joined the company Marchepied, led by Corinne Rochet and Nicholas Pettit, for a six-month contract before touring with choreographer Nadika Mohn for the piece "ZWEI", a creation inspired by the universe of Frida Kahlo, presented in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

​

At the end of 2022, she danced in "Kintsugi", a creation by Maroussia Enroth with the inclusive company DanseHabile, which brings together able-bodied dancers and dancers with disabilities.

​

In March 2023, Tamara joined the company 7273 for the revival of the piece "TARAB".

 

In 2024, she reunited with the company Marchepied for Geneva’s Fête de la Musique, performing in two pieces: "CIRCOLANDO" by choreographer Nunzio Impellizzeri, and "LES VAGUES", choreographed by Corinne Rochet and Nicholas Pettit.

An Engaged Artist and Teacher

​

Alongside her dance career, Tamara has been teaching since 2018 with a rigorous yet compassionate approach, tailored to each student.

​

She shares her passion through classes in classical ballet, contemporary dance, Ballet-Fit, flexibility training, Pilates, Yoga, and barre on the floor, for both children and adults.

​

She has taught at several institutions, including:​

• Piri Dance Nyon

​

Currently, Tamara teaches independently on Wednesdays and Fridays at Studio Graine de Soi and Studio Équilibre Holistique.
